The AcolytesAcolytes are the young, and the not as young, people of the church who assist the Clergy during the Services. Their ages range from eight years old to ??. If you are interested in becoming an Acolyte, please call John Irons, Acolyte Master, at 405-372-1558. John Irons, Acolyte Master, conducts training sessions at Saint Andrew's throughout the year as needed. Anyone eight (8) years old or older may qualify to be an Acolyte at Saint Andrew's. We have a good balance of the young and the "not as young" Acolytes at Saint Andrew's. And, of course, lunch is provided after the training sessions. If your name is not on the following list, Co-Leader Joan McKeever Acolytes * * * Adult Acolyte We now have adults as Acolytes assisting during the Services on the third Sundays of the month. Many parents of our kids have joined in helping in the services. * * * Annual Acolyte FestivalsThe Acolyte Festivals are held each year at Saint Paul's Cathedral in Oklahoma City each Spring. The Festivals utilize the talents of the Senior Acolyte Masters, the Bishop and other clergy to host a day of training for both the Acolytes and the Acolyte Masters. The Acolytes and Sponsors from Saint Andrew's always have a lot of fun, learn a lot about being an Acolyte and make many new friends. * * *
